Bear Tranquilized, Taken Away In La Crescenta

A California black bear spotted in a La Crescenta backyard was cornered and eventually tranquilized and taken away on a stretcher. The 150-pound bear was seen nosing around in the 2600 block of Prospect Avenue about 1:30 p.m.
